Converter magnesium carbon bricks

For different converter smelting processes, the refractory lining of various converter sections is manufactured using electrofused magnesia and graphite as primary raw materials, bonded with phenolic resin and supplemented with a specific amount of antioxidants. The material undergoes hot mixing, high-pressure forming, and heat treatment. To enhance oxidation resistance and temperature tolerance, anti-oxidants such as metals and carbides are often incorporated. Carbon exhibits excellent thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion coefficient. Its large contact angle with molten slag effectively prevents slag penetration, thereby minimizing thermal spalling and structural delamination.
